A look at the venerable old Loretto, at West 39th and Roanoke in midtown Kansas City. Practically on my own doorstep... in a figurative sense at least. When I was a toddler my parents rented a house immediately south of the Loretto, and there's an old photo of me in the back yard there with this building visible in the background. Early 80s it was. Here in the now, I'd woken up from an afternoon nap with the idea in my head to run over to The Loretto and get some shots taken under the "Magic Hour" lighting conditions. So I had just a few minutes to get up and get over there. But getting from 43rd to 39th isn't that big of a challenge.
